1.5 How to Prepare a Gaming PC for Installing IZI Software

To show how to properly prepare a gaming PC for installing and running the IZI.PLAY software, ensuring maximum performance, stability, and compatibility with the system.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that:

  • A clean Windows image is installed on the PC (IMPORTANT!)
  • All actions are performed under a Windows administrator account
  • The PC has internet access
  • The gaming computer is connected to the club network

#№ Step-by-Step Guide to Preparing the PC

##№ Step 1. Install Windows

  • Install Windows OS from a bootable drive.
  • Use only clean ISO images, without builds or modifications.

Step 2. Perform a System Update

  1. Open: Settings → Windows Update
  2. Install all available updates
  3. Enable downloading of:
    • optional updates
    • drivers

Step 3. Install Basic Utilities

Install:

  • 7-Zip

Step 4. Configure Security and Disable Unnecessary Services

Disable:

  • Windows Defender Firewall
  • Windows gaming functions:
    • Game Bar
    • Game Mode

Path: Settings → Gaming.

Step 5. Enable Ultra Performance Mode

  1. Run Command Prompt as administrator
  2. Enter the command:

powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

  1. Navigate to:
    Settings → Power & Sleep → Additional power settings
  2. Select the plan: Ultimate Performance

Step 6. Install GPU Drivers

  • Install the latest NVIDIA drivers
  • Disable Overlay in GeForce Experience

Step 7. Configure Monitor and NVIDIA Settings

Monitor Settings

  • Set the maximum supported refresh rate (144–240 Hz)

NVIDIA Control Panel → Display Settings

  • Scaling mode: Full-screen
  • Perform scaling on: GPU

NVIDIA → Manage 3D Settings

  • Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance
  • Low latency mode: Ultra
  • Texture filtering → Quality: High performance

Step 8. Configure Virtual Memory

  1. Press Win + S → type View advanced system settings
  2. In the “Performance” block, click Settings
  3. Go to the Advanced tab
  4. In the “Virtual memory” section, click Change
  5. Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size”
  6. Set the following values:
RAM AmountMin / Max Pagefile Size
32 GB16384 / 16384 MB
16 GB12288 / 12288 MB

Step 9. Disable Automatic SSD Optimization

  1. Press Win + S, type Optimize Drives
  2. Open the scheduler settings
  3. Disable scheduled optimization for SSD

Step 10. Disable BitLocker

  1. Open “BitLocker Management”
  2. If the disk is encrypted — click “Turn off BitLocker”
  3. Wait until decryption is fully completed

Step 11. Restart the Computer

Be sure to restart the PC after all settings — this stabilizes the system and applies all drivers.

Step 12. Install Additional Programs

Install all required game launchers and utilities:

  • Steam
  • Epic Games
  • Battle.net
  • Riot
  • Discord
  • Any others used by the club

Important:
Disable Autostart with Windows in every launcher.
